My long
time friend and former colleague Ralph Lundgren passed from this world
on January 29th. He was husband,
father, grandfather, friend, cartoonist, writer and keen
observer of the human scene. He will be truly missed.

From Pensacola:
Mary Kate was voted Favorite Teacher by several
of her students. As junior class sponsor she will be organizing student
government and the junior prom. Her school's boy's basketball team is
in 4th place in the state. Shawn finally shed his braces after 4
1/2 years. What a smile!
Megan is chauffeuring her mother around town getting ready for
her license test.
Elizabeth keeps her honors grades high and readies for her Confirmation
on May 5th while jumping on her trampoline an hour a day and listening
to Flogging Molly. Irish Punk Band? And she still loves drama.
Little Scotty careens around the house. He owns it.
From San Diego
Michael Sydney continues to wrestle, study,
and attend Scout activities. He's made Life Scout and will complete
his Eagle Scout requirements this summer. Topping all that will
be getting his coveted driver's license.
Meanwhile, Loris Mae and Carlin look forward to their first child
who is due in May. Kathy is throwing a baby shower for Loris on
the 22nd in San Diego.

Mimi and Ryan took
a bus down to San Francisco a couple weeks ago to participate in the
anti war demonstrations. Mimi said it was like Mardi Gras without
the drinking. She was impressed with the kindness and consideration
shown by the crowd which was full of seniors.

The Remarkable Aunt Mae
with the girls in Chicago. (Can anyone guess the date?)
Aunt Mae was born Mary Elizabeth Galvin
in Chicago on February 11, 1889. She was a vibrant, sparkling woman
with a kind heart, a quick wit and the duty of keeping all the family secrets.
Which she did. Forever. |
