First  day of school
Pensacola
The twins are launched.  Megan is taking a full complement of courses at Pensacola C.C. and is also working as a pharmacy technician at the big blue store.  Shawn is waitering at Ruby Tuesday, has moved into his own digs and is contemplating his future which might include being a restaurateur.

Elizabeth is enrolled in a selection of advanced placement courses and works part time at Chuck e Cheese.  This year she is Historian for the Thespian Club. Scotty  loves school and plays his first soccer game on September 11th.  The first day of school for Scotty and Elizabeth they had an hours long blackout and had to get ready in the dark.  On top of that, the tooth fairy made her first appearance in 10 years at the Griffiths...she almost lost the way!

Scott Sr. just landed a math teacher's position at a high school in Pensacola.  No more long commute.  Congrats Scott!

Mount Shasta City
Cael, Marcella and the kids moved to their new home in Mt. Shasta in August after 15 years in San Francisco.  They have a lovely home in a woodsy setting, knotty pine bedrooms upstairs for the kids and a large yard for the little ones. The house is  within walking or biking distance to lakes, camping, hiking and  pizza parlors with pool tables. They are a short drive to horses, skiing and mountain climbing.

The older kids can walk downtown to the movies, pizza parlor and shopping.   Cael keeps his canoe  on top of the truck for quick runs to a nearby lake.

Cael sold their San Francisco rentals and plans to buy income property in the Mt. Shasta area.

The really big news from the Mt. Shasta Westons is the expectation of a new member of the family sometime next April.  Congratulations !!

Victorville
Chib and the kids had the month of August free so they filled it with a wide assortment of activities and trips.

Dylan opted for working with his Dad in Oroville.  Chiband Brenna spent 2 full days at Sea World  dealing with the dolphins and whales.

 Later, Chib took Erin, Aaron, and Brenna to visit Gammy in Anderson with a stop in Oroville for Brenna to ride Knot.

Back home Brenna dove into diving lessons then they all went camping in the mountains with the Schmidts and friends.

They also got to experience a real thunder shower, right at home.






San Diego

Kathryn and I joined Mike and Charlie for a night at the theater in Balboa Park.  It was a fun evening.

The next morning grandson Mike met us for breakfast and told us of his adventures in his two months' working on a fishing boat in Alaska.

 He's now pumped and ready for an awesome wrestling season. 

Mike and Charlie began moving into a new house with a wonderful garden and a lovely canyon view and some feathered livestock..





Valley Center
Timothy continues to thrive and grow, and grow and grow!   Tammy reports it's impossible keeping clothes on him that fit.   Pat is considering opening his own business.  Tammy keeps busy with the kids and the house and yard.  Michelle continues to excel in the school band and jazz band.   A good report all round.

Colorado
After a summer of hiking, entertaining Irish guests, camping, backpacking the Colorado Weston boys are back in school.  Kevin is a lector at Mass on Sundays while Brendan and Caleb are playing tackle football.  Liam and Carmen have put together a great web site detailing all their adventures and activities .

Tim was best man at Kenny Zwicker's wedding.  Chib attended as a guest and shot these great photos of  some old friends; the Bermans and the Zwickers.  Would you recognize everybody?  Chib reports is was a fine wedding in a lovely spot and she enjoyed renewing old friendships.
